Mount Bromo in Indonesia is actually an active volcano that sits in a valley. Or to be more accurate, in a Sea of Sand. Volcanic sand, that is.
That dusty trail you see weaving through the plain in the first photo is actually made up of dozens (maybe even hundreds) of jeeps ferrying tourists to the base of Mount Bromo. After snapping these photos, I promptly hopped back into our jeep to join the seemingly never-ending line.
